Your current drags me under |
| Caught in your riptide I finally catch my breath. Light on the horizon calms, illuminating my epiphany. You cling near the shore in the safety of the shallows. I free dive into the abyss seeking the thrill of your depths. Trapped in your tide’s ebb and flow its deliberate push and pull wanting to but not quite allowing yourself to come ashore. Water has its way of softening distorting and dulling the shine of long-coveted objects which disintegrate upon surfacing. |
