A poem I wrote for A-level media

Two born together, neither was first,
Yet, to separate lives was each one cursed,
To despise the other, they tore apart,
For this peaceful land, it was just the start...

Each girl was granted with incredible gifts,
Yet it was the curse, which cause these rifts,
The hope in your eyes, is shown to all,
But all shall be lost, if you fall...

The Phoenix took the heart of one, the Dragon the other,
The people fled for their lives, yet they could not discover,
The secrets which that family hold,
Those secrets which remain untold...

The twins in each of the beast's wings are encased,
Their parents, now dead, with their daughters never embraced,
The silver heart, which each girl wears,
Is broken in two, by this state of affairs...

Hunt down the cause of this horrid curse,
As you get further, you will see worse,
Villages burnt to the ground, innocent humans impaled,
But, if you are victorious then your name shall be hailed...

Drothonia and Presenia, those two ghostly isles,
To tread on either, is the first of many trials,
Deep in the forest, nearing the end of your quest,
Is where you shall find the Dragon's Den and the Phoenix's Nest...

Yet, my brave hero, reunite the twins,
And you shall see the love return,
Their souls replenished, washed away sins,
But first, my dear, you have much to learn...
