The Wrong Time

How it feels to get old.

Lost in time. A different fate
What I thought I knew, now it’s too late.
The future I wanted, I couldn’t find.
Now the past is gone, and I can’t rewind.

I’m stuck in the present. My mind’s locked in the past.
I’m out of place, just another outcast.
My dreams and plans blew away with the wind.
I’m frozen in time. A temporal Dead-End.

I’m in the wrong place. In the wrong time.
Somewhere between Now, and the years of my Prime.
Sometimes I feel lost. So very alone.
Life is so different, I don’t know my own.

I have to keep going. Keep pushing on.
Use the time I have left before it’s all gone.
And when my time comes, and I’m near the end,
I know Time will catch me just around the bend.
