Paean for the peripatetic penguin

Love and Ice

milling multitude of stark
achromatic crowd
endless
yin yang repetition
countless pulses pound

love seeks like
strikes a match
dancing in the dark
perfect partners making bows
intuitions flash

ecstatic bond links a pair
entangled
hearts go on
inerrantly find mated souls
amid a teeming throng

nested pebbles
black on white
discordant cries for krill
three hearts sound a single note
family urge fulfilled

Prompt:

1) write a free verse poem up to 20 lines/100 words
2) props are pebbles or krill
3) alliteration (to lend sound to poem, goes well with long/short structured sounds, assonance, mild rhyming)
4) personify to identify with penguin (narration connects to heart, you decide how)
