Hiding in shadows

My fear being rejected and hurt

I’m no social butterfly I hide in
Shadows where I’m not seen
So it’s as if I’m invisible.
I watch from sidelines as everyone
As world go on as my fears hold me
As a prisoner they chain me to the
Darkness. I’m swallowed up by all
The what ifs and fears being rejected
So it’s like my own fears chains has
Me locked up. What once Protected me
Now holds me down from everything around
Me. Yet i don’t know how free me from these
Chains that surround me
