Within the darkness of life, trust in God to be your guiding light.

Guiding Light

Thou oh lord, thou has restorest a fire within this once cold soul,
A soul which once was swallowed by the darkness of the fiend
Thou hast prevented the treacherous serpent from gaining control,
To this once lonely child, thou has become a true, loyal friend.

Thou are my guiding light.

Born into sin, destined to dwell in an eternal fiery domain,
Thou intervened by saving this undeserving soul with thou’s blood.
A life deemed unclean, to forever endure indescribable pain,
Upon a wooden cross, thou washed me within a crimson flood.

Thou are my guiding light.

Thou oh lord, what doest thou see within me?
A once wretched heart fated to suffer for eternity.
Yet oh lord, thou’s blood stained a precious tree,
In order for me to join thou’s prestigious fraternity.

Thou are my guiding light.

Thou oh lord, No gratefulness could compare to thou’s love,
A true gift to cherish given unselfishly from Heaven above.
