As I remember your smile and laughter
And how much you dreamt of life's next chapter.
You lit up our very souls like a song—
Until we lost you in a disaster.
Didn't think anything could feel this wrong.
How could our family ever belong
With you already in the hereafter?

I feel your essence in the wind's embrace.
I hear your laughter at night when I dream.
Your love surrounds me in the water's flow.
I scour the stars for your smiling face.
I see your soul in the sun's shining beam
And sense your halo in the moonlight's glow.
