| Featured in the Poetry Newsletter dated: 18 FEB 2025 Tell me a story of Coldwater Creek. Ice on the windows, Chill in the bones - And embers smolder In the hearth for all. Circle of Life begins anew, Daffodils poke out from hardened ground. Rain sluices over the bones, And the kindling teases - The hearth for all. Young cubs emerge from hiding Eagles guard the nest Mist on the bones Coals now tender the flames Over the hearth for all. Cast iron pot filled with stew Percolator on the wind Mesquite to season Gloves wrapped the bones Tending the hearth for all. Lines: 21 REVIEWS: Review of "Coldwater Creek" Shadows & Light ▶︎ |
