Poisoned words pierce the heart, leaving broken spirits in their wake. A soul's lament.

Your words are poison tipped arrows,
For piercing my fragile heart,
Your tongue drips vinegar to my marrow,
The poison seeping into my heart,

You pass your judgement so readily,
And sadness rises in my soul,
You seize on every fleeting moment,
Blinded to the spirit of the whole,

For each of my unplanned stumbles,
You drive in emotional stakes,
I'm left feeling inadequate,
And daily, I bleed from your rake,

The dam I hid behind shattered,
Releasing my raging river,
In your heart, an Angel of Dread,
Poison, your arrows delivered,

In your mind, there’s a palace,
A house where Dread Angel treads,
Your final arrow of malice,
Left me smashed, and broken — dead.
