Lost at Sea

Goforth to the shoreline
The waves crashing into us
Tides of dead men tell the tale
Gone to depths as treacherous
Feel the world through drowning eyes
Casting doubt on your ability
The world and words are hollow
Lost in this breathless sea


Sunset on the burning sky
Wallow in this misery
Death allows our peace of mind
Still drifting out to sea
Hope and dread are intertwined
Thread of fate unspun
Dreams of our forgotten youth
A life that's left undone
