I've written and self-published the first of three novels in this "new" genre. I wrote about Prince Solomon during the Bible's silent year of his life, with a strong emphasis on the true Biblical characters and King David's private army, the Mighty Men (Gibborim, in Hebrew). I am getting close to the end of novel 2, and have novel 3 bursting at the seams. I am a Pantser and love it. I never have writer's block, although I can get distracted by other things from time to time.
I am in desperate need of a quality Beta Reader. Someone willing to read this kind of fiction, not too condescending, not too gentle with me. I can take it, well, most of it. If you are interested in learning more, I have a novella prequel to share, "The General's Treason." The main characters are King David, Bathsheba, the Prophet Nathan, a child who dies right after childbirth, and assorted fictitious Gibborim warriors, Hittite royals, and other bad guys.
What do you say? Give it a try? It will keep the pages turning, I think!
