Will you remember me, my singing canary?
Will the stars twinkle along with the moon?
A forgotten memory—one that I should regret,
but my singing canary doesn’t remember me.
And now I am alone, the darkness is spreading.
My flower is withering, don’t you forget.
The whisper of melodies has fallen to silence.
O singing canary, please sing me your song.
The flowers are dead and the memories are hanging over my head
O singing canary, I wish to go home.
Won’t you welcome me back
to where I belong?
P.S. This poem, I'm not super proud of, but it also resonates with me in some way! Thank you to everyone who has reviewed my past poems; it means the world! Hopefully you enjoy this one as well!
Stay tuned for more poems! The next one is called Fragile skin! :)
