Finding the truth of why we are.

Chapter 1

In The Beginning

When our species first walked this earth life was very different than that which we experience today. Of all other species on this earth we alone were (and still are)the most ill equipped to survive. Our bodies were weak in comparison to that of other species and our inability to adapt to changes in the environment like winter, ice, heat and flooding made our lives a struggle on a daily basis.
That is not to say that other species had not struggled there were many predators and always twice as many prey... but the difference was that other species had adapted well to the ecology and climate, as if they were made to order. Insects, microbes, bacteria as well as every other plant and animal living within the ecosystem seemed to be created especially for that environment.
Each and every living thing was the food or sustenance, housing or medicine for the other, a chaotic world indeed, made of life and death struggles yet the system allowed for growth, health and abundance unhindered, a continual cycle of life, death and rebirth.

When we look at nature then as well as now we see the perfection of creation in action. Each living thing is born with all the tools needed to survive and thrive in their environment. Not only are they equipped with the tools needed such as specialized eyesight, fur, talons, claws, ears etc. , but each specialized species has specific tools for specific plants, animals, bacteria etc. Such an intricate weaving of skills, tools and specialized bodies each one designed to fit into the natural chain of life from the smallest to the largest, one sustained the other in an unending and eternal cycle of life giving and life taking perfection.
When we look at the natural world and its inhabitants we can clearly see that each living thing exist within its own system, it is the creator of home, food, and offspring. All of nature lives within this way. If we are to believe that life is dependent upon our species to be managed, taken care of as if without us it could not survive than we are truly the most ignorant of all species (an opinion of which I can not to this day dismiss).
It is our species that can not exist without each and every other life form on this planet, and the natural system is the only way in which we can exist. Without it we are toast so to speak. So I find it laughable to hear some speak as if we are the caretakers of the earth, or that we are the top of the chain.

And then there was our species...

How did we a species so fragile and weak survive to become such a prolific and destructive force among such natural perfection. When I hear those speak of our place at the so called top of the food chain being due to natural selection, as if we somehow achieved this all on our own. Surviving the first thousand years of our being with sticks and stones against a world teeming with life, where all things were prey and predator and we, the most ill equipped came out on top. I silently ponder, can you really think that we did this all on our own? Can you not see how un natural we are to this ecosystem?

I listen as god fearing people tell of how we were created to be lord over all the living things on the earth and I think, if I were a god who could create such an extraordinary place of perpetual balance and abundance and decided to create a living being to care for such a place, in all honesty I could have done much better than creating a human being. And I would have to question why a god would create a world of perpetual life and abundance that needed no help and then create such an ill equipped species of which could not exist within the laws of nature if it wished to survive?

We are not the lords of this earth. The earth is our keeper without her sustenance, her resources we do not exist.

The conclusion, we are not a part of this system.

If we are not a part of this system then what are we a part of, how did we find ourselves here, and why?
