Thanksgiving 2025 turned out to be a lovely day! it was such a wonderful feeling to have so many members of my family in the same room. No drama, just laughter and little ones literally running around the room.

My offspring and daughter-in-law, Jim's sons and their kids, my brothers' children and grandchildren and his wife, one of my half-sisters and her daughters, one of my half-brothers, my sister-friend and a member of my church.

We had a lovely spiral sliced honey ham, scalloped potatoes, sweet potato casserole, homemade bread, bacon wrapped asparagus, a spicy cheese dip, devilled eggs, black olives, vegetable tray, fruit tray and the desserts! Pecan pie, pumpkin pie, cherry cheesecake, pumpkin Brulle cheesecake, five-cup salad, chocolate cream pie, deer hunter cake, gluten free lemon cookies, peach crunch, too many and too much to eat. All the desserts, except the pumpkin cheesecake, was left for the ladies' dinner on Tuesday.

With any luck, when we meet again for Christmas, it will be in our new home. Carefully chosen to accommodate our large family where we can enjoy each other's company and eat flavorful foods and soothe our souls.
