Autobiographical reflection |
| In Days of Now Strolling through local woods A trip made many times Past Sally Mulligan's pillar Up and down the rolling path Rocks to climb Walls to conquer And a pond for skating Days of yonder youth Walking to my old school A trip made many times Past the crossing guard Down the schoolyard path The classroom held me in I didn't want to be there But all the friends I made Days of yonder youth Cycling down neighborhood streets A trip made many times Past the stone wall gate...into Lynch Park Speeding down the entrance drive The ocean sat waiting The rose garden sat as well And a beach for combing... Days of yonder youth Walking down a local rail trail A trip made many times With my loving wife and dogs We in pleasant conversation Stories shared She and I Of days of yonder youth In days of now |
