a little song I wrote

Wish we had met,
all that wasted time spent,
with a person of your caliber,
full of bitterness and resentment,
an ashtray full of half-smoked cigarettes,
chains smoked in between sneers and curses,
to remind me of you,
and all of your bad habits.

Chorus:
My mind's eyes/
no longer clouded,
by your long lasting immpressions,
you used to linger,
like nicotene stains.
on the shards of my heart (my heart),
Time will tell,
time will tell.
wounds that'll heal (that'll heal x2).

Comparing me to/
so many of your ex's,
you can wonder why I strayed,
but the writing was written on the walls of yesterday,
all the choices,
that you made,
brought us to this very empass,
like a freeway,
I run through your mind.

Chorus:
My mind's eyes/
no longer clouded,
by your long lasting immpressions,
you used to linger,
like nicotene stains.
on the shards of my heart (my heart),
Time will tell,
time will tell.
wounds that'll heal (that'll heal x2).

I can be the villain to your story,
the one you portray,
in your smear campaign,
projecting all your insecurities,
out in the open,
for everyone to be recruited,
in your web of lies,
hope it was worth losing me.
