Short poem, Changing mindset |
| I cannot share what lives inside The rooms are too dark There is nowhere to hide The halls of my mind flicker from light to shade My throat constricts on the stories forbade Words and thoughts cry out for release If only they flowed and offered me peace For fear and failure line the walls of my mind So many disappointments hold me back in time Self belief is hard to grow They say what you reap is what you sow Step out of the dark and into the light Only you can save yourself this night Be strong in conviction And hold yourself tall You only have one life to live after all Look in the mirror and like what you see Let go of old hurts and move forward to be free |
