Our love went from a blazing torch to a dyeing ember.

Melting Love

I sit here tonight
By the candles light,
As it slowly melts away.

I think of our love pledged,
On our star above,
Wonder where it's at today.

What have we done
To make it come undone
Destroying a love so true.

I wish there was a way
I could say to describe
All the love I still
have for you.

When we pledged our love
The candle was new and
Burned as bright as our star.

Now I wonder why our star still
shines bright in the sky.
yet the candle is burning out.

Love was something new
to both me and you.
It was very special
without a doubt.

As the candles flame
slowly dies our love
becomes a spark of what
was a blazing torch.

What happened to cause
this tragedy and loss.
