Written late one night after loved one passed on. Published.

Lookin' at 'im
you expect him to just
blink and get up
and be Normal,
but he never will
not today, nor tomorrow
not for all the tears in the world
he's gone
beyond your reach
beyond the pain
beyond YOUR pain.
Everyone acts so
Normal, like nothin' happened
but it DID!
They all ask, "You okay?"
and ya just wanna scream
"NO!!! I'll never be okay
