A letter to "her"

Dear XXXXX,

I remember the night you dreamt about me
the night you confessed the need to see me
the night I will never forget

I met you in your dreams, remember?
We had a kiss you described as being "Intriguing".
I was left with the feeling of importance and care
something no one has ever offered me
but...I ruined it.

I was left with a decision that determined my future
a future of regret and solitude
a life where the very question "what if?" haunts me everyday.

I took a chance to rekindle a past love...
...and was unsuccessful.
Foolish for not doing what I should have.
I took the wrong chance, and ended empty.
Perhaps in another life...
I won't make the same mistake
I miss you so much and I will never forget you.
