How can we live in a society that is built upon lies?
Treachery and deceit- Surely we must be insane
We constantly kill each other- not realising the pain.

We claim to help the poor, help feed them
Indeed this is true; we feed them to the soil
After having destroyed them and their beliefs

We claim to have the best technology-
but after 2000 years still we cannot save lives
Rockets, nukes. It don’t matter no more
So much destruction - it is a bore

A nightmare we live in.
A continuous dream
One that we will never awake from
One that is unseen

You see, this piece is not about just you or just me
It is about every one - from the CIA to the police
But maybe I have gone a bit too far-maybe I have crossed the line
For I have mentioned the one word which has no place in this rhyme

You are all the same - and will never awake.
But I-I am different. For I have done the impossible - awoken from my dream.
I have done the impossible - I have seen the unseen.
