A God...Somewhere...

Ode to Sept. 11th, 2001

A God...Somewhere...Kills Us.
Because we abandon misfortune
For opportunity;
Taking risks to achieve greatness
For what we believe.
But this God,
Is foreign
To our eyes;
He preys on the foolish
To end other's lives.
And by dying...they are
The witness to the cause
Of only grief;
Their quest for martyrdom - fails;
Though thousands will have died,
Their beliefs will not bend
Our cause for the world
To live in harmony
And survive.
