Shadow in the night

For all those suffering from abuse

Come to me my precious one, let me ease your
pain.
I feel the heaviness in your heart, so broken and battered.
Those marks of black and blue could never truly
reveal.
That terror engrosses you, hiding you from the
world.
Who you were has now disappeared, leaving behind
nothing but an empty shell.
A shell stripped of dignity and love, and replaced with
sorrow and gloom.
One of many forgotten shadows that hide deep into
the night.
One that goes unnoticed, and invisible to the
world.
