You're closer than I think, sometimes

There are times in my day
That I miss you.
More than just the passing thought
Because you are so far from me
An eternity away.
And my heart fills with a longing
That lay fallow for so long.
Then your voice travels,
Over time and space,
And my heart remembers
You are only
A breath away.
