Just my opinion on what true love means

True Love’s Paradox


True love is to care for another
A bit more than you care for yourself
But in order to love that other
You must first have true love for yourself

For less is the fear of rejection
Needing love at whatever the price
And more is the fear of subjection
Always needing control of the dice

Surrender to love your needs your fears
It demands that you lay bare your soul
If love is true the answer appears
You’ll find two can be one and be whole
