Blue/Black

A poem about a new beginning in another's eyes.

Blue replaces black
as the sun rises
the night fades away.

So too does the fear
I felt in my heart
pass with the dawning

A new day begins
with my hopes and dreams
alit in your eyes.

The warmth of the sun
almost, but not quite
eclipsing your smiles.
