The Star Kittens

Written for the Poem a Day Challenge

The Star Kittens

Deneb Hokule’a, sweet
Star Kitten, you came to me
From heaven, You fell straight down
To my loving arms.

And Altair Leilani
You left too soon, returning
To the stars you became the
Magic Star Kitten.

Together in my heart you
two will always be, one is
here to comfort me and one
in heaven to pray.


My poem for January 7th. Three stanzas written in the dodoitsu form. Continuing to write a poem about each of my kittens. :)
