When you were walking away,
I waited for a last smile.
There was something that kept me waiting,
Hesitant to utter your name,
Oozing most of it through my silence,
Usually you would hear it,
This time,you wanted me to speak.

Love, i thought, i knew
Only until this moment,
Only until you left, without looking back,
Know now
It was my ego
Nothing else
Guilty, i am.

But i think of only you now,
And this question comes back to me,
could i see you once again
Keeps me going
