Inside of Me

A look inside myself one day as I began a new phase of my life.

Inside of Me

There is a place inside of me
where no one has ever been.
If I could only learn to relax
and let just one person in.

Behind my mask I always hide
the feelings trapped inside.
All the anger and the tears
I've kept them hidden all these years.

I wish I could scream and shout,
open myself up and let the feelings out.
I've always felt like I'd done something Bad.
But, now I know it was only Sad.

The feelings hidden in my special place,
are the ones I've been afraid to face.
I'm stronger now, than I was last year.
I'm ready to face my biggest fear.

So, come to the place inside of me,
and we can work, so I can be free.
I hold out my hand and invite you to stay.
This is the start of a whole new way.
