Think Further Than You See

this is a poem for teens and what they need to learn about

have you ever felt lost?
like nobody cares?
except your friend,
oh, god, the pain you share!

Your family cares,
hers doesn't at all.
you don't want to fail them,
she doesn't want to fall.

Were both so scared,
she wants someone to call her own,
the enemies she made,
I wish she would have known!

I was naive,
I wanted to fit in,
I wanted the perfect body,
I wanted the perfect skin.

I wish she would have known,
she wouldn't be so bitter,
all she wished was for,
just one guy to consider,

that maybe she was beautiful,
for who she was,
bright, bold, and insecure,
and also for all that she does.

But now you see,
she is very lonely,
no one to sit by her side,
no one but her little ol' pony.

As for me,
i've learned from my mistakes,
to always love your selfs,
and to never get bitten by snakes.

So now i hope,
that you've all seen,
to look at what's inside,
and to never be mean.
