A Slice of Myself


I am me.
Myself.
Tis I. C’est moi.
I.
I am a free spirit;
a piece of driftwood, a monarch butterfly, a seed
wind surfing.
I’m a creature of my imagination,
a creation of my dreams:
a three dimensional
collage of all I’ve ever
done, been, seen, tasted, wept, slept, or heard.
Part illusion, part mirage, part shadow and part substance
Blended with music and combined in dance.
Illumined by language, quenched by connotations, I write myself
Into being. Voilà.
