Beyond the blue
into an impassioned dawn.

into an obscure stretch
lacking light.

Beyond the blue
your temple quakes
with faux ardent expectation.

into your soul screaming out, "no"
drowned out by your lips mouthing, "YES."

Beyond the blue
forward
into the lightening white heat.
The heart's impurities melt away
exposing itself as gold.

Beyond the blue
backward
into a deliberate burn
skin peeling to display insufficiencies
like a carefully removed bandages.
The lies cackle
unveiling their candor.
Vision blurs to faint blackness.

Beyond the blue
the soft sky
and comforting clouds
wait to breath chilly on my flesh
a warmth my soul seeks eternal.
