Glass Ceiling

This one's in my own mind, not on the corporate ladder.

Crawling clawing scrambling
To get out of the hole
Head first into the glass ceiling
Ears ringing eyes blurring
Butting and beating
Howling and bleating
Unheard in the darkness
Unable to break through

Scratching at the glass
Blue sky people unseeing
Stumbling bumbling plunging
Headlong back to the bottom
To crawl and claw and scramble again
