heartbreaking really.

brush me aside
like strands of hair
in your seductive eyes.
tuck me away-
and i'll simply
fall into place
behind the darkest confines
of your ear
i'll be easily forgotten
that way.
and i'll sit
as a neat, quiet wisp
hidden from tears
and i'll wait
patiently
and i'll listen
cautiously
for my chance
to slip softly,
and slide back
into view
