Inspiration

Poem about finding inspiration in the writers who go before me.

Inspiration

When I need inspiration,
I look into the eyes
of writers gone before me,
and it fills my heart with pride
to think I may leave a legacy
half as great as theirs.
And though I know chances are slim
that I shall ever reach their fame,
I'm quite content imagining
and writing inspired by them.
