Down on my knees,
I’m so pathetic
Waiting for you to come to me.
Quite literally,
My heart is breaking
But you won’t come to me.
Yet still I’ll wait patiently.

I won’t forget you
Even though it’s been so long
Since I’ve seen your face
You’re everyone in a crowded room,
In my mind you’re never gone,
You won’t erase.

The memories and conversations
Crowd around my isolation,
Cutting off my circulation,
It’s getting hard to breathe.
I’ll wash away my inner pain
And drink away the night again
With my friend, my constant self disdain
Passed out in front of the t.v.
