I can't count how many times I ahve been told that I would never get published, even from my own family. As if having the dream about being a writer made me so stupid I couldn't figure that out myself. I gave up on that dream until about 3 years ago when I told my father in law about a story idea I had since I was 13 years old. He got so excited about my idea and he had been pushing me to try to get published. I admit I am a little scared of that prospect but I thought that some of my fellow writers understood how I feel and would provide me with constructive critism to help me possibly fulfill my long given up dream of being a writer.
