Summary of this Book...
I would give this book 100 stars if I could. I loved it! Lucy a Clarke is an extraordinarily talented writer. She comes up with clever, intricate plots, uses suspense and tension to the max, and yet, she writes the most beautiful prose. The places she describes are alive and real, and she makes you want to visit them. In this book, Bea is a model on a photoshoot in Marrakesh. But she’s tired with modelling. It was never her life choice. So she quits. Walks out, leaves the hotel with all her belongings packed in her rucksack, and walks. Just walks. And then she finds herself being followed by two men as she enters a deserted alleyway. One of the men steals her bag, the other is about to assault her. Enter: Marnie. A chain of events begins that Bea is unable to stop. She goes to stay with Marnie at her B&B, The Surf House. It's all magical to begin with. Until a new guest, Seth, arrives and starts asking questions about his sister, Savannah, who he hasn’t heard from in nearly a year. What happened to her? Why does everybody clam up when her name is mentioned? A fantastic sun-plot unfolds. It’s fabulous. Really. There is nothing I didn’t like about this book. Lucy Clarke’s writing seems so easy and seamless. I could read her all day long. Oh, wait. I did read her all day long.
