Summary of this Book...
Set in 1978 New York City vampires are gritty, familiar and real bumps in the night. Told by Joey Peacock, pre teen vampire with half a decade of experience. He sleeps in the sub way tunnels during the day, knocks on windows in high rises, charms and has favorites that he "snacks" on. He looks like a child, can be a child, or be something older and wiser. He lives with a family of vampires under stronger/older leads, and not listening or doing around leads to "skinning". I won't say I want to keep this "E" rated. Times are good, charming works great, then one day Joey sees a little girl on the subway. Blond, very tiny, she sees him for what he is, sees him in all his vampire ways. She isn't like him, she has no fangs, holds her teddy bear, and the cold void in her eyes. The lesser evil has found Joey, and suddenly he hunted like all the people he took for granted.
