"Eye Killers" adeptly combines the European legends of the vampire with the Native American myths of the skinwalker and the monster slayer and sets the tale in a realistic setting populated with unforgettable characters. Carr also captures the feel of the classic vampire tale in a way that few besides Bram Stoker have been able to accomplish. His vampires are a perfect balance of the sensual and the menacing, and they are perfectly balanced by the ordinary, fallable mortals who must somehow fight them. | ||
