This is the second book in the Outlander Series! In 1945 Clare accidentally stepped through the mysterious Circle of Stones in Scotland and ended up in the year 1743. She met a handsome, young man, James Fraser, in his twenties, ready to protect her but the dangers that await the country are too big, even for him. Out of desperation, he sends her back through the Stones in order to save her and their unborn child. Now, twenty years later, Claire is ready to search for the man she loves, even if it meant going back through the Stones and leaving their daughter behind. Before she can do that, she has to tell her only child the truth about her life and her real father. An amazingly woven tale spanning two centuries. A must read! | ||

Since Claire tells her daughter the story of her past and what really happened, there is a bit repetitiveness in the book, but can easily be overlooked as we journey on with the wonderful characters. | ||

It's an amazing tale of love, courage, history, and so much more. A romance that isn't written just to get published, but instead, to let you explore the world of these characters and melt into it. | ||
