Summary of this Book... | ||
There were so many things about this book that didn't make a whole lot of sense. The main character is an assassin who's spent the past ten years as a loner and yet the minute she gets back to her hometown (on an assignment no less) she immediately calls up a bunch of old friends and wants to catch up... but then is standoffish whenever she's with them and doesn't seem to want to be there in the first place. She's trying to quietly hunt a terrorist that Homeland Security also goes around and announces to local law enforcement agencies? Overall it felt like this story was trying to be both a spy thriller and a Hallmark "returning home to see what's changed" story, and didn't accomplish either one particularly well because the other narrative kept getting in the way. This one just was a little to unbelievable for me. | ||
