Ethan Hunt, the famed Special Agent of the Mission Impossible Franchise is contacted by the American President who asked him to destroy a digital AI being called The Entity which is trying to destroy the World by taking over all the Nuclear Missiles in the World. Ethan gets together with his team of other specialists and they have to navigate various difficult situations and fight off their enemy Gabriel, who is in league with the AI being, in order to achieve their goal. In order to destroy The Entity, Ethan must first retrieve its source code from a submarine at the bottom of the Ocean and unlock it with a special key which is a nigh impossible physical feat....

People who like action movies with lots of different interactions between characters going on at once, physical feats for the characters, dramatic movies, and for those able to suspend their disbelief.

The ending, and the interactions between the main character Ethan and his team who genuinely seemed to care about one another. I felt the ending tied everything together well. I also like watching Tom Cruise in movies.

The quick scene changes without explanation, I found the start of the movie hard to follow, with the characters making loaded, over dramatic statements at one another which seemed disjointed, and did not really explain sufficiently (to me) what was going on.

Includes many famous actors including Tom Cruise playing the lead, Hayley Atwell and Simon Pegg. I think many of the actors also feature in the previous MI films, but I have not seen them all.

I watched this movie on a plane so only on a very small screen, I imagine it would be a better experience on a bigger screen for the cinematics and special effects. although I have not seen all the other MI movies (I saw the first 2) - I don't think this is imperative in order to see this movie, although some things may make more sense if you watched the previous ones - as apparently it is a sequel to "Dead Reckoning"
