I'm a Derbyshire man born'n'bred. Now in my 40s (damn that was quick), at school I detested reading & writing; opting to lark about with my mates having fun. After all, we were all headed down pit anyways; wrong, all the pits closed and unemployment skyrocketed. So after a year at "Tech" I ended up on the dole. With no money to speak of, I took to reading. The Bible, Shakespeare; then I found Campbell, Herbert, & King. They stirred my imagination and got me writing. Now I'm here on the great WdC |
I'm a horror writer: I find this the best genre to write about real people & real life. The more real, the greater the horror |
I try to keep this varied. I like the creepiness of the quiet style; I also love the gross out gore of splatterpunk. |
I love reading - it doesn't always have to be horror (which is good because King has moved away from it recently). I'm also a big film fan (that's right, I love BIG films). I also like photography (thanks to my Dad there). Oh, I also love writing... |

I love all music (again thanks to dear old Da' for that); except for opera. At the moment I'm loving the ccMixter website as this has some pretty good musicians mixing away. Though mostly I'm a rock fan - If it's too loud; you're too old. |
