| I watched The Kentucky Derby. The race doesn't last long and Soverign, the horse won. I wanted Journalism to win but it doesn't matter. It had rained and the track was all muddy but it was a good race. The winning horse got a spray of red roses. I enjoy the hats the women wear and I have hats like those. I enjoy wearing hats. The English people wears hats like this at the Royal Wedding. It is nice to watch The Kentucky Derby. Short and sweet. I love the horses. |
| Gone With The Wind. Today's prompt is to write about Gone With The Wind. It was my mother's favorite movie. Her ring tone was Gone With The Wind. She collected all the Hallmark Christmas Gone With The Wind ornaments. I have some too.I have Gone With The Wind plates and dolls. Mom had a Gone With The Wind Game, Book and music box and I bought these home. The movie and the book. Scarlett wasn't nice to her one black maid. The southerners weren't nice to their slaves but Mammy didn't take any crap. The house slaves had the good life. Scarlett had three husbands and thought she loved someone else for years but she didn't. Losing her daughter when she fell off her pony and died. Scarlett's husband left her and then she realized she really loved him. The ending leaves Scarlett crying on the steps of her fancy mansion. Her best friend was the woman she thought she hated because she wanted her husband. Too late. Her best friend she thought she hated died and her husband she really loved left her. Sad movie. The Civil War. It was a war between the states. North versus South. The slaves were freed. Life changed for the southerners. An unnecessary war like all wars. I enjoyed the romance and we do like Scarlett. She had spunk and was high spirited and went after what she wanted. She was spoiled and selfish. No one pushed Scarlett around. You have to love her. I have 2 copies of the book and and I have the movie. I do need to watch it again. I will watch it with Mom in mind. A movie for everyone about the past and a woman who wasn't afraid of anything. A hero we loved.  |
| It's Friday just past Midnight. We got rain yesterday. I vacuumed and ran the dishwasher. My husband and I are having a cookout. Hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad and baked beans. I hope to go to Church. I should dust. I don't go out much since Mom died. I wish I was young and didn't have arthritis. It slows a person down. Live each day as it comes. I do want to scrapbook some pictures. I need to shut up and go get them done. Cheers for a good weekend.  |
| What to write. The person who wants to buy Mom's house wants me to bring the price down. The realtor told me what to sell it for. It needs repairs but I am selling as is.i feel it is my right. I won't back down. I wasn't sure what to write. I do write what is going on in my life. My husband and I are having a cook out this weekend. We have hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad and baked beans. Trying to move forward. It isn't easy. Hopefully things will be better. |
| Prompt: Joy asked if we love this life and do we humble and cherish our silky life? What about the terror below the green grass? I haven't loved life lately since my mother died. Trying to get it together. I still enjoy watching my shows. I enjoy Jane Austen. It is summer and I hope the green grass won't hold any terror. I want to be happy. Maybe I will get my pictures scrapbooked. Maybe I will be happy. I pray and I haven't lost my faith. I do want to love and enjoy life. I still cherish good memories. It is harder some days then others. |

My kitty wants her food at time, bed to sleep in, fresh water and toys to play with. Being good. My kitty thinks as long as I am good to her and love her and protect her when it storms, that is my goal. You know, as long as you are good to your pet, he or she loves you no matter what. Being an animal lover and wishing good things for him, that is the best goal. Works for me.  |
| I usually have this done at midnight. I was too tired. I took a Xanax. I am stressed out about my mother's estate and things. I hope the lawyer has answers tomorrow. We aren't expecting rain and summer is on the way. The farmers are in the field. That means summer in farm country. My cousin is coming over to do my hair. I hope it will be a good day. |
| Today was National Pilots Day. I think of Ameila Earhart, military Pilots, modern day Pilots and my father was a Flight Engineer on a gunship. That's close enough to being a pilot. I admire Amelia Earhart. Women Pilots are important. I love the Top Gun movies. Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer. They weren't real Pilots but we enjoy TV Pilots. I do. I love watching the planes in Top Gun land on the air craft carrier and take off again. I wish I had nerves of steel to fly planes. I watched Wings as all day. Silly comedy but cute. I salute all the Pilots |
| I cleaned the bathrooms and my kitchen. I caught up on my Bible reading. Rained today. 70 some Degrees. I did reviews here. My husband and his brother are bringing over my recliner tomorrow from Mom's house. No plans for the weekend. |
| Over 70 Degrees today. I didn't go outside. I vacuumed. I have to clean house. I hope to do that tomorrow. I keep wanting to go through all Mom's pictures. Somedays, I am alright. I don't know at times. I watched Roadhouse. I loved Patrick Swayze. Hoping for a good weekend.  |
