I remember how thrilled I was when I received my first Merit Badge, and from there it just snowballed. I became hooked on getting them.


There are a lot of ways to earn Merit Badges here - most of the contests that are run offer Merit Badges to the winners, but there two great ways to earn one every month (and you don't have to compete against loads of other members).

"Merit Badge Projects"  - you choose one of four projects to complete and if you write an item that meets the project criteria you earn that Merit Badge

"Invalid Item"  - you choose one of the Merit Badges to work towards for the month, though you can only take part in this during your first six months here.
