My birthday is on Thursday... Isn't 21 supposed to feel different?
The color for sadness
But I think of calm
Cries of sea birds
And waves upon the shore
In a blue dress
Blowing gently in the wind
As I stand on the beach alone

I see the blue of the sky
Tells never to stop reaching
Until the day you touch me
And I agree
Though I know Father Sky jests

Go in peace, not in despair
Carry a candle before you
Your choice of blue
I will meet you there

Shells lay buried
Like sapphires in the sand
With childlike joy
I pick them one by one
When I close my eyes and imagine you
I'm more complete then when I open my eyes again
But I know you didn't go away
You just changed
Into the clouds, into laughter
You changed into the hawk, perched upon a branch
When I close my eyes again
I see you in me, your Maiden form
We are complete and yet still growing
I believe in a goddess
I believe in a god
Masculine and feminine energy side by side
Not one behind the other
I believe in equality and I reject submissiveness
I reject the one and embrace the all
If I am wrong then so are you
Magic is around us, not just in your book
I believe in a Goddess
I believe in a God
