Hi guys! I badly need your input, suggestion and guidance about this. Someone actually posted a message on one of the writing groups in Facebook stating that she's giving out her old laptop to someone in need. I reached out to her and she agreed to give it to me. I will be the one to pay for the shipping which will be done through FedEx. She's somewhere from the US and the cost of shipment is quite big. I badly need the device but I'm kind of hesitant. I don't want to be scammed. Please help. |
| There is an old saying; you get what you pay for. Also, if the shipping and handling is expensive, you may be better off going on a payment plan for a new one. |
| QPdoll - like you, I'd been dodging windows 11. But my laptop expired and its replacement had windows 11 pre-installed. I was worrying about nothing - there are cosmetic differences, but by and large I'm getting on fine. It took a couple of hours fiddling around and I was essentially back with the equivalent set-up to what I had in windows 10. No doubt there are more substantial differences for people who do complicated stuff, but I primarily do word-processing, email and browsing and it's just fine for that. |
