Safe travels!

             Happy 1st Day of Winter!
I worry about my eldest son, because he obviously takes after his father. Today he picked up the sugar jar at work, and remarked that he thought we weren't having any Christmas decorations, so what was this snow globe....Then he paused... "It is rather plain though." He opined!
Happy first day of Winter to you, too.

Thank you for all the Quill nominations!

Is anyone else having trouble posting on "Weekly GoalsOpen in new Window.? I've tried posting three times, and each time it said "Succeeded," but I'm not seeing it in the forum.

*Facepalm* Never mind. I figured it out. *Blush*
It worked okay at 3:47 EST.
*Facepalm* I do see it in the unthreaded view now. UGH. I think I know what I did. I always copy and paste Monday's goals and then repost in a new window, then check off what I accomplished. I must have copy and pasted IN Monday's post instead of a new message post. *Pthb*

Thanks, everyone, for your input!

DECEMBER PROMPT

*DOWN*
Ho-Ho-Whoa, there!
Of course, there's a catch!
You must begin your poem with either...

'Twas the ________ before Christmas
or

'Twas the night before ___________.

Just fill in the blank!

One example is..."'Twas the Lice Before Christmas!Open in new Window., which I wrote back in 2003.

There's no line requirement or limit! Just have fun and be creative!

Here's a link that will refresh your memory of the original version:

I might have to steal this prompt for a non-children's poem.
Elisa, Stik of Clubs Author Icon - Having read the original poem, my thoughts immediately went to the arrival of a DUI Santa in charge of a high-speed vehicle after too many sherries. Definitely not for younger children...*Bigsmile*

I finished watching all 6 seasons of The Sopranos last night. I was completely into the entire series but was taken aback by the abrupt ending. At first I thought our TV blacked out, but it wasn't so. For those of you who have watched this, I'm curious to know your thoughts.
TJ says, "keep on keeping on!" Author Icon - It's totally worth watching. My paternal great-grandparents were from Italy, so I was curious. The actors do a superb job!
My husband hated it at the time, but looking back, he thinks he misjudged it.

In terms of Sopranos fandom, the man still quotes something from the show at me every single day.
Almost 20 years later and people are still talking about it.

My only criticism is that the song was already overplayed before the final scene and it's become insufferably trite in the aftermath.

TJ says, "keep on keeping on!" Author Icon - I hope that's it. He actually went back out of AFib on its own yesterday! YAY! But this morning he is in PVC - Premature Ventricular Contractions. His BPM is 63, so that's good. Yeah, it's most likely due to this cold...we're hoping.

(unless you live in Hawaii or Arizona)
You not only get an extra hour to sleep in,
but an extra hour to write tomorrow!!!
Ugh. I actually forgot, but most of the clocks in my home change automatically.
Time doesn't change here. Life is led at a slower pace.

Oh... you were talking about the US? It affects how I interact with WDC. Now 12 will = 12, flip the am and pm.
Nope. No time changes here. Well, except Baja and some of the border states. Here in the Yucatan, we live perpetually on Mexican Time. *Laugh*
