Halfway done with Chapter 9 in Collage. Working on the second half now and hope to post by this weekend. For real this time :D

Woot! Somehow I got inspired again. I'll have Matt's chapter up by the end of the week. Should have a new chapter posted for collage by Sunday. Yay!

Okay, after much thought and consideration, I am not changing the format or style for Chapters 1 & 3 of Nightwatch 1: Growing Up. I happen to like the current format. So it is back up for reading just like it was before with an addition of a prologue on the Book page...

So, Stephen King says no adverbs...I use adverbs all of the time. He also says that plan on 25% of your book getting cut when it gets published. So I'm making my book extra long so I won't cry when a chapter or two hit the proverbial cutting room floor. Maybe, someday, I'll actually get to the end so I can submit it to an actual publisher? Hmmmm

I read best selling novels full of adverbs. If the story is great, the readers won't give a crap about a few adverbs. The readers are what matter!They are the ones who buy our stories.
Stephen King is awesome, but he isn't the god of writing. Lots of people turned against adverbs. Adverbs are part of the language and have a use--to modify verbs. They shouldn't be abused, but used when the verb is too ambiguous to get a clear meaning/feeling across. That's my take on it, anyhow. *Wink*
